Beli joins the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund “Set The Night Aglow” 2021 Infertility Summit in Support of National Infertility Week

Beli continues its commitment to amplifying the importance of prenatal nutrition to help improve fertility outcomes for men and women.

The Beli team just got back from the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund “Set the Night Aglow” 2021 Infertility Summit this week in Charlotte, North Carolina. We are thrilled to have been a sponsor for this event and continue to be an ardent supporter of this amazing organization that raises the awareness of the struggles of 1 in 5 couples who face fertility challenges in their journey to parenthood and awards much needed IVF grants to couples.

The event included a candid conversation with reproductive and fertility specialists, IVF warriors, mental health advocates, and financial specialists that dove into important topics around the IVF process, including fertility treatments, financial considerations, and the challenges couples face in their journey to seek fertility care. We are so appreciative of everyone who opened their hearts and shared their personal journeys with us. While the goal is the same, everyone’s path is different, and it is so important to continue sharing our stories within our very special community to help encourage others to share their stories too. We are proud to help amplify the conversation about fertility and help customers advocate for their own fertility health on their path to parenthood.

Research and market data trends from the National Institute for Health and others prove that fertility issues are on the rise. There are more than 100 million people trying to get pregnant each year and 1 in 5 will seek fertility care in their lifetime, whether that’s for conception challenges or staying pregnant. The latest scientific research is changing the way we think about fertility, prenatal and postpartum health – and it is helping millions of couples worldwide conceive and carry healthy pregnancies.

With stories hitting daily about the massive decline in sperm counts, couples having children later in life, pressure to freeze eggs, rise in infertility treatments, and the growth of fertility centers and sperm banks, one of the easiest things we can do and what we must do is get healthy during our reproductive years – and that goes for both men and women. We need to elevate that message because science tells us this is a big part of the equation that is not being addressed. Fertility and reproductive health is a $24 billion dollar industry and growing at warp speeds, and yet prenatal vitamins still haven’t caught up with modern nutritional science.  A lot of factors related to fertility are beyond our control, but you would be surprised how much power you have over your fertility health, including the health and vitality of your sperm and eggs. One of the easiest ways to increase fertility health is to take a daily prenatal that is optimized for reproductive health. If you are in your reproductive years, we believe both men and women should be taking a prenatal over a general multi-vitamin.

We launched Beli for Men a little over two years ago with the first modern prenatal vitamin to help boost men’s fertility and increase sperm count and quality because we saw a huge gap in the market for the male side of the equation. The data on male infertility is staggering, yet men are often overlooked in the pregnancy equation, despite the fact sperm health is 50% of the equation and plays a dramatic role in not only creating, but also sustaining a successful pregnancy. Despite the importance of the male side of the equation, the vast majority of products in the market have been focused on women. It is surprising that in 2021, women still bear the physical and psychological burden of getting and staying pregnant when science is telling us men’s sperm health is just as important as her egg health.

More than 40% of couple’s fertility issues can be linked to poor sperm quality and quantity on the male side of the equation. The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Health and Human Development reports that overall, one-third of infertility cases are caused by male reproductive issues, one-third by female reproductive issues, and one-third by both male and female reproductive issues or by unknown factors. In fact, only 1 in 4 men have optimal semen quality.  It’s been well established that nutritional deficiencies in the man contribute to risk factors around sperm health, fertility, conception, miscarriage, birth defects, overall health, and the future health of the baby, so the emphasis on nutritional optimization for the male is critical. That message is resonating with customers who are seeking out Beli to help increase their chances for a successful conception and pregnancy. At Beli we are committed to continuing our #spermcounts campaign, bringing awareness to the importance of optimizing sperm health to increase a couple’s chances for a healthy pregnancy.

Beli recently launched its women’s prenatal that was specially formulated with the latest nutritional science and critical nutrients that support each of the five stages of pregnancy from preconception, through three trimesters, and postnatal. For those trying to conceive, whether naturally or with assistance, Beli’s ingredients that have been clinically proven to help increase egg quality and promote hormonal balance to help boost women’s fertility and help support IVF outcomes.

Backed by the latest scientific research, at Beli we believe the simple act of both men and women taking the right prenatal vitamin is changing the way we approach fertility, prenatal and postnatal nutrition, and has the power to help millions of couples conceive and carry healthy pregnancies. Together, Beli for Women and Beli for Men address both sides of the pregnancy equation to help couples increase their chances of conception and healthy pregnancies.

National Infertility Awareness Week is the largest public awareness campaign that addresses the public health issue of infertility. Beli pledges its commitment to raising awareness of the rising fertility challenges and resources available to people on their path to parenthood. Raise your hand if you already know that you have a biological clock. From age 35 and beyond, there is a natural decline in testosterone and sperm quality. Just as people lose muscle strength, flexibility and endurance with age, sperm also tend to lose their "fitness" over the life cycle. But what does that mean—and does it really matter?
